After living and growing up in Los Angeles County most of my life, I always yearned for a more simple, rural life. And why not? There is a Redneck genetic component to my parents and grandparents - more than a lifestyle - a sense of being. We almost always had chickens and a garden when I was younger - unlike all of our neighbors. My Dad wore cowboy boots frequently - and Western-style clothing - though it was not popular. In fact, we lived in a Southern California beach community with surfers - not exactly farm living...no other family repaired everything with duct tape and WD40 like we did.

In 2004, my kitties brought in a wild bunny and let it loose in the house. Well, the poor thing tried to hide in an empty toilet paper tube - and being the idiot I am, I picked it up.

For whatever reason, the bunny let me carry it and get the husband out of bed to snap this photo. Then he was released back into the wild. I think this may be the rabbit who flips me off everyday when I come home from work and walk the cats around the yard.


The really good news is that the reflection in the glass door is not clear; I sleep in a T-shirt - and the hubby doesn't....

Celebrity Look Alikes and Aging

Everyone has seen those sites which allow you to add your photo and their program tries to find the celebrity you resemble. Others age you or guess what your kids will look like.

So I tried my hand at it. After all, when I was younger, I was told I looked like Liza Minnelli; I knew I was getting older when I started hearing I looked like Tyne Daily. So how bad could it be??
